I was hestitant to order a wedding dress online without trying it on first. I am having a small intimate wedding, so I didn't want to spend a lot on a dress. I searched for a dress at all the big name stores (David's Bridal, Brides by Demetrois, etc), and I really couldn't find something I liked at a reasonable price. I never really considered buying a wedding dress online, but there seemed to be a lot of really good reviews for George Bride's other dresses, and they are so inexpensive in comparison to the bridal stores. So, I took the risk and somewhat nervously purchased it.
Immediately after buying it, I was worried. Amazon had estimated 4-5 weeks, but then when I ordered it, it said almost 3 mos in the delivery estimate. I was really concerned because my wedding date was only 2 mos away. I sent off an email to George Bride through Amazon with my concern, and they responded later that evening letting me know that the dress would be arriving in 4-5 wks instead. They also sent me an email confirming my measurements for my bust, waist, and hips. They have been great with correspondence.
The dress arrived by DHL in less than 4 wks from ordering it, and I had to sign for the package. The package was shipped from East China. If you hear China and are concerned about quality, let me reassure you. I am actually extremely impressed with the quality. The shipping is the only slight complaint I have about the entire experience. The dress did not arrive in a box - instead it was tightly double bagged. The dress had been carefully folded inside this shipping bag, and it did not receive any damage in shipping, but there are some slight wrinkles from the folding. I'm not sure how it could be sent to prevent this.

The dress is beautiful! it has lots of details, beading and lace...the fabric is very good quality and the dress looks way better than what I've seen in some wedding dress salons. I love the upper part - the illusion neck and the back cut in V..it shows my back in an elegant way without being too flashy. George bridal has been great with communication, they answered all my questions very fast and in a professional way.
The dress was also delivered in less than 3 weeks from the moment when I ordered it. The skirts was a bit fuller than I could tell in the picture on amazon...but I think this was also the case because of my high (I am shorter than the model so it looks fuller on me than on her)...so if you have a petite figure it might be the case that you'll have to take the dress in both sides to fit your hips better (which is what I'll do).
I will also have to alter the length as it is just slightly too long but this is probably something I would have had to do with any dress. And another alteration that I'll have to do is take a bit from the under arm part...right now the underarm part is a bit too small and it needs to be cut deeper so that it feels comfortable (this is the reason for the 4 star instead of 5).
I suggest that if you order online you take a picture of your body and send it to them so that they can see how large are your arms, how long is your torso etc (proportion details that you cannot tell from height measurements).
Overall I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the fabric, the quality of the beading and the quality of the tailoring (although it was a bit off it is good quality)

I am beyond impressed and pleased with the dress. It looks like a $800-$1000 dress! We were on a very tight budget, so I'm so happy that the dress turned out so great for us! It fits great and looks stunning! My whole family was impressed. Great purchase!
